Hi, I’m Theresa “Tree” Rocha — a lifelong learner, educator, and mentor who believes deeply in the potential of every person to grow and thrive. I’ve spent over 25 years helping students, peers, and colleagues discover confidence in their abilities through tutoring, mentoring, and creative learning experiences.

I’m proud to be bilingual and bicultural in English and Spanish, and I bring that perspective into everything I do — from designing inclusive lessons to connecting with people from all walks of life. My work at the local community college has enabled me to train and mentor exceptional tutors, develop programs that genuinely support students, and collaborate with others to make education more accessible and empowering.

Over the years, I’ve also had the opportunity to intern with the Oregon Department of Education and the Department of Administrative Services, designing virtual trainings and learning tools that help teams adapt, grow, and stay connected. Whether I’m building a new workshop, developing a course in Rise or Storyline, or mentoring one-on-one, I always lead with curiosity, compassion, and a belief in the value of lifelong learning.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and pets, as well as getting involved in my community — from volunteering at local schools to supporting student events and cultural celebrations. I’m passionate about making learning joyful, equitable, and meaningful for everyone.
